For the next academic year our WizeUp with Jack Petchey school programme in partnership with The Jack Petchey Foundation is being extended to 125 mainstream schools across London and Essex and also 25 SEND and PRUs who will have their own specially constructed programme aimed at financial education and independent living. The mainstream programme consists of delivery of 3 sessions of between 60 and 75 minutes to year 12. Schools get to choose from Budgeting including Earning Extra Money, Student Finance, Taxation including Pensions and Cryptocurrencies. We will also be delivering an extra session to year 13. Here schools can choose from any of the year 12 topics plus Renting a Flat including Saving and Investing, and Credit Cards and Ratings.
The SEND/PRU programmes are individually tailored to each group and will be 8 hours in duration delivered over 4 visits. The sessions are devised after a consultation visit by our SEND/PRU lead to each school.
The workshops are heavily subsidised by The Jack Petchey Foundation whilst each school will be asked to pay £150 towards the total cost.
